Woodrow Wilson Morton, 75, departed from his earthly home early Saturday morning, July 2, 2022, in Richmond, Virginia.
He was born October 30, 1946, in Greene County to the late Benjamin Morton and Lucille Murray.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ennis, Elmer, and Benjamin Morton.
Wilson leaves to cherish his loving memory, two sisters, Cynthia Carpenter of Stanardsville, VA., and Lucy Eddith (John) of Crozet, Va.; two brothers, Robert Morton of Sandston, VA., and Reginald Morton (Barbara) of Williamsburg, VA.; a loving and devoted niece, Michelle Carpenter of Richmond, VA.; special friend, Gladys Dickerson of Richmond, VA.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Wilson proudly served in the U.S. Army and had a great love for baseball and football. He was a soft-spoken man, with very few words, and good at heart.
We will all miss our loved ones, but we know the earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal.
