William Henry Taylor, 69, of Stanardsville, VA died on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Evergreene Nursing Care Facility. He was born on August 2, 1941 in Albemarle County to the late William and Geraldine Morton Taylor.
Mr. Taylor was a member and deacon of Bethany Baptist Church. He loved his church and loved his church family. He enjoyed attending the Jefferson Area Board for Aging (JABA), fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a wonderful father and devoted grandfather and will be truly missed.
He is survived by his children, Darnell Hoffman and his wife, Shannon of Barboursville, Cheyenne Hoffman of Stanardsville, and Amanda, Sheila and Dennis Taylor.
In addition to his children, he is survived by his three grandchildren, Jaylin, Shanae and Darien Hoffman.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 16, 2011 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 18, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Shifflett officiating and Rev. Stanley Holmes conducting the eulogy.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
