William Early Shifflett, 86, of Stanardsville, VA died on October 14, 2011 at Evergreene Nursing Care Center. He was born on April 19, 1925 in Greene County to the late William Preston and Annie S. Shifflett.
Early was a very hardworking man who in his younger years worked farms, cut timber and hauled cattle.
He is survived by his sisters, Loretta McDaniel of Ruckersville and Accolene Shifflett of Stanardsville, good friends Larry Snow and Tommy Snow and numerous step children.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Ruckersville Community Cemetery with Rev. C.C. Kurtz officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to a charity of your choice.
