Walter Willard Knight
Walter Willard Knight, 86, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Gordon House. He was born in Greene County on February 23, 1928 to the late Walter and Lillian Morris Knight.
He proudly served our country in the United States Army and retired after 23 years of service.
He is survived by his sons, Greg Knight and his wife, Tracy and Timothy Knight and his wife, Judy; six sisters, Silena Morris, Gerry Shifflett, Doris French, Densel Ramsey, Patsy Lang, Gloria Powell; one brother, Jarrell Knight; and his grandchildren, Jason, Griffin, Colby, Cooper, Janell, Daniel and Mitchell.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Sanford, Thelbert, Delford and Wayne Knight.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army.
