Virginia (Nita) W. Wood, 74, of Ruckersville, VA, peacefully passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016. She was born on December 1, 1941 in Baltimore, MD to the late Kyle and Elizabeth McDaniel Wood.
She is survived by her two brothers, Warner Wood and wife, Lucille who took care of her for 25 years and William W. Wood; her sister, Sarah Mullins and husband, Sunny; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Hawkins officiating.
Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren, c/o Lisa Deane, 232 Wildwood Drive, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
