Vanessa Fern Keiser

Vanessa Fern Keiser, 63, of Stanardsville, VA passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at her residence. She was born on August 8, 1953 in Batesville, VA to the late Nay and Cora Fisher.

She is survived by her two sons, Christopher Scott Karten and James Christopher “J.C.” Keiser and his wife, Ashley; her brothers, Jerry, James, Trenton and Anthony Fisher; sisters, Kendall Toribio and Alice Shifflett; and four grandchildren, Christopher T. Karten, Cierra D. Roach, Braxton C. Miller and Damien Blaze Sutherland.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Sheena Marrs and Ivy Layne and her brother, Mitchell Fisher.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Rockgate Cemetery, 981 Crozet Ave. Crozet, VA 22932.
