Tyler James Wessel
Tyler James Wessel, 19, of Barboursville passed away as result of an automobile accident on Wednesday, October 15, 2014.
Tyler was born on January 12, 1995 at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. He was the beloved son of Lt. Col. Timothy Wessel and Katy Goff Wessel.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Valerie Wessel; a brother, Jacob Wessel; paternal grandparents, James and Virginia Wessel of San Diego, California; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and his dog, “Jack.”
Tyler was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Marilyn Goff.
Tyler was a 2013 graduate of Lexington High School in Lexington, South Carolina. He was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church proudly serving as a Sunday School teacher and as a member of the Praise Team. He was currently employed at Panera Bread.
Tyler was a special young man known for his keen sense of humor, singing and theatrical skills. He will be greatly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Peace Lutheran Church, 1510 Broad Crossing Charlottesville, VA 22911 with Pastor Lauren Miller officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
