Thomas King "Tommy" Thacker

Thomas King "Tommy" Thacker, 77, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. He was born to the late Minnie Conley and Curtis Thacker. Tommy is also preceded in death by his wife, Frances "Marie" Collier Thacker; son, William J. Thacker; daughter by marriage, Grace L. Thacker; and brother, Jerry Thacker. 

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Thomas D. Thacker Sr.; sisters, Linda Pace and Brenda Pleasants; brother, Curtis Thacker; grandchildren, Thomas D. Thacker Jr. (Brooke), Christopher Thacker (Brooke), Erica Thacker, Michaela Johnson (Cody) and Casey Dickson; great-grandchildren, Brantley "Mutt" Thacker, Bradley "Jeff" Thacker, Abigayle Thacker, Emily Thacker, Kynsleigh Thacker, Christopher L. Thacker Jr., Hayleigh Thacker, Landon Thacker, Lilly Thacker, Gracen Thacker, Kaylee Johnson, and Jase Johnson.  

Tommy loved and appreciated a cup of coffee and could often be found sitting on his front porch doing his word search or playing solitaire. In his free time, he'd be at the mall with his brother enjoying his coffee or playing Farm Town on his computer. Tommy cherished spending time with his family and friends, especially his Mutt and Jeff. He will be missed by all who knew him. 

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 12:30pm at Full Gospel Assembly Church, 3179 Proffit Rd., Charlottesville, VA, 22911 with a graveside service immediately following at Holly Memorial Gardens.
