Thomas Edward Doyle “Ted”

Thomas Edward Doyle, 48, of Buckingham, passed away Monday, August 15, 2011.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Caryl A. Doyle. He is survived by his father, Edward R. Doyle and a sister, Katherine M. Doyle, both of Pennsylvania, his brother Michael F. Doyle and sister-in-law, Sandra of Colorado, a niece, Jeanna Wagner and her husband Shawn and their daughter Violet, and a nephew Patrick M. Doyle.

Tom is also survived by his best friend, Ken Conley.

Tom had many talents and a fascination with all things complicated and technical. He obtained his Bachelor of Science for Electrical Engineering from Wiedner University in Chester, Pennsylvania, his Masters in Nuclear Engineering and a PhD in Nuclear Physics from the University of Virginia.

Tom was an outgoing and caring person who loved to please others. He loved being a teacher and mentor to the students he tutored at Sylvan. He was also musically talented and wrote poetry. Tom enjoyed living in a rural community, surrounded by nature and was known for being able to identify all sorts of plants. He had a special place in his heart for animals and he opened his home to animals that needed a place to live. He enjoyed working with his hands, particularly tinkering with equipment, performing carpentry jobs, and woodworking. He seemed to know everything and could build anything.

Tom will be remembered for his friendship, his love of all things, his brilliant mind and ability to do anything. He was loved by all that knew him and will be greatly missed.

A private service will be held at a later date.
