Stephen Taylor Barton
Stephen Taylor Barton, 61, of Richmond, VA passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at his residence after a short battle with cancer and surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 29, 1951 in Richmond, VA to the late Dr. Robert A. Barton and Anne Blackburn Barton.
Steve was a loving father, skilled craftsman, decorated Vietnam Combat Tracker and “Patriarch of the Supernatural Family”. He lived life to the fullest. His carpentry skills led to the beautification of many buildings in his beloved Richmond. There were many who were blessed by his benevolent spirit, he was truly a helper through and through. He will be missed greatly by his family and many, many friends.
He survived by his children, Justin Taylor Barton of Culpeper, Jessica Barton Nou and her husband, Kong of Richmond, and Janel Marie Barton of Culpeper, two brothers, John Barton of Richmond and Wynn Barton of Georgia, two devoted former wives, Jojuan White (mother of his children) of Culpeper and Cindy Barton of Richmond and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Richmond Double Tree Airport, 5501 Eubank Rd Richmond, VA 23150.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery with Rev. Jojuan White officiating and with military honors being provided by the American Legion Post 330 and VFW Post 2524.
