Stella Amos Parrott

Stella Amos Parrott, 87, died on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at her residence. She was born on November 30, 1923 to the late Russell and Rebecca Smith Amos.
Stella is survived by her three sons, Ronald N. Parrott and his wife, Pat, Richard A. Parrott and Donald L. Parrott.
She was also a proud grandmother of seven grandchildren, who affectionately call her “Big Ma”, Ronald N. Parrott, Jr. and his wife, Deana, Tabatha Williams and her husband, Paul, Stephanie Haraway and her husband, Keith, Stella L. Parrott, Russell Parrott and his wife, Heather, Cynthia Parrott and Alexis Parrott. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, Mandy Parrott, Joseph Parrott, Jordan Parrott, Laci-Ann Parrott, and Julie Lloyd, one step-great grandchild, Darren Woodward, one great-great grandchild, Nathan Shifflett and two siblings, Everett Amos and his wife, Bonnie and Bernice Cochrane.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Brightberry Parrott and her siblings, Harry, John, Carl and Lucille Amos and Suzie Powers.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Holder officiating.
Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Stella’s name to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Pky, Suite 300 Charlottesville, VA 22911 and / or a charity of choice.
