Sophia Marion Farrell, 97, of Ruckersville, Va died on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at The Cedars in Charlottesville. She was born on November 7, 1913 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Wassil and Katherine Korneichuk Bessan.
She is survived by her two sons, Robert Farrell of Ruckersville, VA and Raoul Farrell of NY, five grandchildren, Michael, Suzanne, Dana, Eric and Steven and three great grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley and Emily.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Farrell, her son, Richard Farrell, her sister, Vera Bessan and her brother, Howrik Bessan.
A graveside service will be held in St. John’s Cemetery in Queens, NY on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 11 a.m.
