Sean Michael Talley

Sean Michael Talley, 35, of Stanardsville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 20, 2024. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Cornelia Frances Goodloe.

Left to cherish his memory is his children, Elijah, Zachary and Brydyn; brother, Devon Baugher; sisters, Tonya Baugher and Heather Black; step-father, Ralph Baugher; his person and partner, Carrie Wilson; paternal grandparents, Roger Powell and Janice Talley Powell; birth father, Daniel Talley and his wife, Pam; two step-brothers, Taylor and Matthew Murray; and two half-sisters, Bethany and Megan.

Janice and Roger devoted their lives to raising Sean and she remembers fondly a memory from when Sean was 3 years old. Roger was watching Sean while Janice was out running errands and Sean knocked over an antique item which broke and Sean immediately turned to Roger and said, "You're in trouble! You're supposed to be watching me!". Sean had a magnetic personality from this early age on, he was always willing to lend a hand and never said no to someone who needed help. He was an artistic person especially with ink. Sean was a family oriented man who loved and cherished his children and spending time with those he loved. He carried a vivacious and genuine spirit, and was generous with everyone who crossed paths with him. He will be missed by all who knew him. 

The family will receive friends Friday, April 26, 2024 at 10 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at Batten Funeral Home 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968. A graveside will follow immediately after at Holly Memorial Gardens 3251 Seminole Trail Charlottesville, VA 22911.
