Sandra Faye Collier Shifflett, 67, of Stanardsville, Virginia passed away Wednesday, September 06, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born December 18, 1949 in Charlottesville, daughter of the late Winston H. Collier, Sr. and Alma Lucille Powell Collier.

In addition to her parents, Sandra Faye was preceded in death by a brother, Winston H. Collier, Jr. and a nephew, Todd Collier.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Melvin Shifflett; two sons, Adrian Shifflett and his wife, Kelly, Brent Shifflett and his wife, Kelly; one daughter, Bridget Kirby and her husband, Nathan all of Stanardsville; grandchildren, Kelsey Shifflett, Kylie Shifflett, Ty Shifflett, Brooklyn Branham, Jayden Kirby, Tucker Kirby and Sadie Kirby; two sisters-in-law, Gayle Collier, Lois Shifflett and her husband, Freeman all of Stanardsville; nephew, Brian Collier and his wife, Teresa and their children, Travis, Braydon and Kaylee; and many other loving family members and friends.

Sandra Faye was a 1968 graduate of William Monroe High School. She was employed with Centel for 12 years. She was also employed many years as a clerk of court of juvenile and domestic court, assistant registrar and served registrar for Greene County for 14 years.

Sandra’s family is a long time member of Greene Hills Country Club where she was a member of WGA. She was also a lifetime member of Stanardsville United Methodist Church.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Stanardsville United Methodist Church with Rev. Chuck Winner officiating. The family will receive friends at a reception following the service in the fellowship hall.
