Samuel Franklin Morris

Samuel Franklin "Frank" Morris, 59, of Palmyra, Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home on August 8, 2024. Born on February 9, 1965, Frank was the beloved son of the late John Samuel Morris and Avis Lorene Morris. 

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Laurie Alma Morris. His memory is cherished by his loving wife, Tammy Sprouse Morris, and their children: Linda “Nikki” Morris (Troy), Jessica Morris (Chris), Dalton Morris (Jessica), and Franklin “Walker” Morris (Katelin). Frank is also survived by his sisters, Leisa Holsapple and Libbie Morris-Harford, and his beloved grandchildren, Samuel Dean Morris and Layla Oxendine. 

Frank was a devoted family man known for his stubbornness, unwavering principles, and a sharp sense of humor. His passion for life was evident in his love for hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors, as well as his enthusiasm for classic and fast cars. He had a knack for bringing laughter into every room he entered, often with a well-timed joke or a playful prank. 

The family will receive friends at Batten Funeral Home on Monday, August 12, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 4:00 p.m.
