Samuel Dixon Clark, Jr., 70, of Ruckersville, Virginia passed away May 3, 2017.
Sam was born December 14, 1946 in Glade Spring, Virginia, son of the late Dick and Mildred Clark.
He attended Emory and Henry College before serving the United States Navy. Sam married his childhood sweetheart, Nancy Clark, on April 6, 1968, and they were approaching their 50th wedding anniversary. They have lived in the Charlottesville area for 25 years, with Sam holding management roles at both Comdial and Sperry Marine/Northrup Grumman. In retirement, he was an active member of his church and community, touching the lives of many.
Sam is survived by his wife, Nancy Clark; two sons, Michael and Andrew; daughters-in-law, Jessica and Eveling; one brother, James Wallace and his wife, Ann; and one devoted grandson, Michael Clark, Jr.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Spring Hill Baptist Church, 2620 Frays Mill Road, Ruckersville, Virginia with the Rev. Steve Nethery officiating.
