Ruth Payne Turner

Ruth Payne Turner, 88, of Ruckersville, Virginia passed away on May 13, 2021.

Ruth was born November 19, 1932 in Ruckersville, VA, daughter of the late Werner S. Payne and Willie McCauley Payne.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben Ray Turner; son, Randall Ray Turner; three sisters, Mary P. Staton, Catherine P. Lamm and Mildred “Mickey” P. Collier; brother, James Dallas Payne; niece, Kathryn “Kathy” P. Leichlider; nephews, Richard Kevin Collier and John Gordon Herndon.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Jean Payne Breeden; special friend, Alberta Morris; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.

Her niece, Janet Breeden Lamb and nephew, Eddie Breeden are recognized for their daily love, support and care throughout her lifetime.

Ruth was a member of Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren since 1952.  She was retired Blue Ridge Sanatorium with 36 years of service providing nursing in-patient care.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses at Grace Health and Rehab for their dedicated care of Aunt Ruth.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Holly Memorial Gardens with Pastor Johnny Hawkins officiating.
