Russell David Wood, 76, of Keswick, VA passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Martha Jefferson Hospital. He was born on May 30, 1938 in Boonesville, VA to the late Robert and Annie Lam Wood.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Wood; children, David Wood and his wife, Shelia, Wanda Wood and Gloria Chidester and her husband, Mike; siblings, Wayne Wood and his wife, Joyce, Paul Wood and his wife, Maria, Paula “Penny” Morris and her husband, Glen, Dale Wood and his wife, Karen and Dawn Nelson and her husband, Tony; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Bertha Pearl Wood, Robert Wood, Roger Wood and Eileen Wood and his granddaughter, Stephanie Wood.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 1 pm to 2 pm at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A graveside service will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Larry Morris officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the family c/o Ryan Funeral Home, PO Box 274, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
