Russell Morris
Russell Morris, 92, of Stanardsville, VA died on Monday, August 22, 2011 at Evergreene Nursing Care Facility. He was born on December 7, 1918 to the late Manuel and Lydia Shifflett Morris.
Mr. Morris was a member and past deacon of Mount Grove Chapel.
He is survived by his four sons, Wilmer Morris and his wife, Jeanie, Wilbert Morris, Vernon Morris and Roy Morris and his wife, Ruth.
Additional survivors include 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, roommate and friend, John Yost along with a host of friends, staff and hospice workers at Evergreene Nursing Care Facility.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Morris.
The family will receive friends, Wednesday, August 24, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Mount Grove Church of the Brethren, Bacon Hollow Rd., with Pastor James Jinks officiating.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
