Roy Conway “Chubby” Bishop, 65, of Stanardsville died on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at his home with his family and friends by his side.
He was born August 24, 1947 in Charlottesville, Virginia, son of the late Stanley and Louise Beach Bishop.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Roy Conway Bishop, Jr. and Chad DuWayne Fenner.
Roy is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Jane Bishop; two daughters, Bonnie Ojeda and her friend, Edgar of Stanardsville, Wendy Bishop and her significant other, Buster Catlett of Buckingham; three grandchildren, Vanessa and Chris Tate of Stanardsville, Shane Catlett of Buckingham; one brother, Stanley Bishop of Charlottesville; one sister, Linda Crawford of Troy; a special nephew, Richie Crawford of Troy; and many other nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. William Murray and the Hospice of the Piedmont for all of their loving care and support.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville.
