On August 26, 2011 Rosetta Elizabeth Rucker of Stanardsville, VA went home to be with her Lord.

She was born on August 27, 1939 in Stanardsville, VA. The daughter of the late Battle Faulkner and Mary Lee Banks Faulkner, and proceeded in death by her husband, Davis L. Rucker Sr. of Ruckersville, VA and son, Davis L. Rucker Jr.

Also proceeded in death by three sisters, Shirley Ward, Mary France Early, Beatrice Faulkner, and two brothers, Norman Faulkner and Donald Ray Faulkner and a special friend, Davis Early.

Rosetta (Rose) joined Shiloh Baptist Church of Stanardsville, VA at a young age. She attended Greene County Schools. She loved being with family and making others laugh with her jokes. She could always find a way to put a smile on your face. She will also be remembered for her love of Kit Kat candy bars and Pepsi soda.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sisters, Barbara L. Herndon of Stanardsville, VA and Betty Anne Faulkner of Charlottesville, VA; two daughters Dorothy Rucker and Lynn Rucker both of Stanardsville, VA, and three sons Jessie Rucker and Frankie Lee Rucker both of Charlottesville, VA, and Warren Rucker of Victoria, VA, one daughter-in-law Loretta Rucker wife of Frankie Rucker, twenty-one grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Frye Family Cemetery, 610 Toms Rd Barboursville, VA (Greene County) with Rev. Jane Cicione officiating.
