Ronnie Junior Morris

Ronnie Junior Morris, 67, of Earlysville, VA died on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at his residence. He was born on July 4, 1944 in Baltimore, MD to Millie Shifflett Morris of Earlysville and the late Elbert Morris.

Mr. Morris was a veteran of the United States Army serving his country in Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW Post of Earlysville. He loved fishing and hunting but most of all his family. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, “Gone but never forgotten, you will always be in our hearts…… Love, your family and friends.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of 35 years, Alice Faye Morris, his children, Ronald Morris of Ruckersville, Nancy Johnson and her husband, Tony of Albemarle, Ray Corbin of Louisa and Ricky Corbin of Albemarle.

Additional survivors include his brothers, Leon Morris and his wife, Brenda of TN, Leroy Morris of Charlottesville, and Nelson Morris of Scottsville, grandchildren, Tabatha, McKayla, Dennis, Josh, Nicki, Ricky, Ivy, April, Michael, and Will, several great grandchildren, his sister-in-laws, Elizabeth Powell and Linda Hartsook and her fiancé, Reid both of Orange, his brother-in-laws, Bobby Hartsook and his wife, Donna of Orange and Wilson Hartsook of Charlottesville and his special friends and fishing buddy’s, Ronald Branham, Elbert Shifflett, Ralph Snow, Earl Lloyd, Sandy Laymond, and Shannon Frazier.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Johnson, infant son, Jeffrey Morris and son, Michael Corbin.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Evergreen Church of the Brethren, 645 Evergreen Church Rd, Stanardsville, VA 22973.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Church of the Brethren with Rev. David Allison officiating.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
