Roger William Taylor, 66, of Stanardsville, died on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Martha Jefferson Hospital. He was born on January 15, 1945 in Greene County to the late Sherman and Kathleen Taylor.
Mr. Taylor was a very hardworking, reliable man. He worked in production for Klockner for many years and valued his friends and co-workers. He enjoyed fishing and gardening but most of all he had a love for his family.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Angela Major and her husband, Darrell of Howardsville, VA, his loving sister, Charlotte Jackson of Ruckersville, the love of Papa’s life, his granddaughter, Breana Taylor of Howardsville, VA and a host of family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968 with Rev. Teddy Cave officiating.
Interment will follow in Stanardsville Cemetery.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the Palliative Care Unit at Martha Jefferson Hospital for your wonderful care and compassion shown throughout this difficult time.
