Roger Wade Staton

Roger Wade Staton, 68, of Earlysville, Virginia passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

He was born on July 27, 1952 in Charlottesville, VA, son of the late James Wiley Staton and Irene Morris Staton.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Frances Davis Staton; daughters, Tara L. Fortune (Jeremy) and Rebecca “Becky” L. Daley (Shawn); sisters, Janice Dorman and Sandra Morris; brothers, Mike Staton (Theresa) and Jeff Staton (Glenda); grandchildren, Travis, McKenzie, Owen and Wyatt; and many other family members and friends.

Roger proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.  He retired from the University of Virginia Physics Department.  Roger enjoyed spending time with his family, camping and woodburning.
