Robert Garfield Fleming, Jr.

Robert “Robbie” Garfield Fleming, Jr., 34, of Stanardsville, Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home on February 27, 2025. Robbie was born on November 21, 1990, to Robert “Rob” Garfield Fleming and Jane Gentry Fleming in Charlottesville, Virginia. 

Robbie was a truly radiant soul who brought joy to everyone he met. He was a graduate of Albemarle High School, Piedmont Virginia Community College, and the University of Virginia, and he leaves behind a legacy of resilience and boundless warmth.

Though Robbie lived with muscular dystrophy, he never let his condition define him. Instead, he embraced each day with a smile, a heart full of gratitude, and an infectious enthusiasm for life. His unwavering positivity and zest for living were nothing short of inspiring. Robbie’s spirit was a testament to the power of joy in the face of adversity.

Known for his thoughtful and comical gift-giving, Robbie’s generosity was unmatched. He took great pleasure in surprising those he loved with carefully chosen gifts that always carried a special personal touch. His playful humor and deep thoughtfulness brightened the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Robbie’s smile was contagious, and his ability to find humor in any situation was a gift to all who crossed his path. He cherished his family and friends, always showing kindness and care in his own unique way. He loved viewing movies and marathoning television series, playing computer games, enjoying adult Legos, and collecting various things.

While Robbie may no longer be with us, his vibrant personality, kindness, and joyful spirit will continue to shine brightly in our hearts. He taught us all to cherish life, embrace laughter, and always keep pushing forward, no matter the obstacles. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Virginia Greene County EMS. 

A celebration and time of remembrance will be held at a later date. Service details will be posted when available.
