Phyllis Laoma Duff

Phyllis Laoma Duff, 82, of Ruckersville, VA went to be with the Lord on ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­May 12, 2023. Born on August 31, 1940, in Dante, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lowell and Eva Blanton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Robert V. Duff Sr, brother Ted Blanton, and sister LaVaughn J. Hendricks.

She is survived by her brother, Max Blanton and her three sons Robert V Duff Jr and girlfriend Gay, Eric Thomas Duff and wife Melissa, and William Aaron Duff Sr. and wife Nancy, grandchildren Michelle, Robby, Eric Jr, Patrick, Jake, and Karsen, two great grandchildren Isabella and Raegan, and two special friends Ernest and Debra Leonard. 

She was a member of the Barboursville Baptist Church where she enjoyed reading her bible and attending bible studies. Phyllis was a devoted mother and grandmother. There was nothing she loved more than being with her family. In her early years she worked at Michie and Company until she decided to fulfill her true passion and became a stay at home mom. 
 
The Duff family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff at Albemarle Health and Rehab and Hospice of the Piedmont. They would also like to especially thank nurse Kenny.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Barry Sink officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, May 15, 2023 at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Holly Memorial Gardens.
