Otis "O.L." Lee Collier, Jr.

December 21, 1948 — March 23, 2015

Otis Lee “O.L.” Collier, Jr., 66, finished his journey here on earth and went home to be with his Lord on Monday March 23, 2015 at his home in Dyke Virginia.
O.L. was a faithful member of the Nortonsville Church of God. He enjoyed spending time with all of his family, hunting, fishing, visiting the Shenandoah National Park, taking vacations to the Outer Banks and the Smokey Mountains, his weekly trips to breakfast with his sister Joyce Baugher, and his daily visits with his father, Otis Collier, Sr.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ruby and Delma Shifflett; Father-in-law Charles Herring; Brother-in-law Wayne Baugher, and special cousins Larry Morris and Steve Shifflett.
O.L. is survived by his wife Linda Herring Collier; their sons Kurt Matthew Collier and Otis Lee Collier, III and his fiancé Lori Beth Appler; Parents Otis Lee Collier Sr. and Maxine Collier; Mother-in-law Oneida Herring; Siblings Joyce Baugher, Hollas and Charlotte Collier, Terry and Kemper Tomlin, George and Heather Collier, Thurman and Vicki Collier, Daryl and Pam Collier, and Paula Loving; Sister in law Wanda and Steve Trainum; and numerous nieces and nephews. O.L. is also survived by a large extended family that he was very close with, including four special Great Aunts Lutie and Richard Shifflett, Dorothy Morris, Janette Shifflett, and Kathleen Hutchinson.
Family night will be held Tuesday March 24, 2015 from 6-8pm at Nortonsville Church of God.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday March 25, 2015 at 12pm at Nortonsville Church of God, Pastor David Allison will be officiating.
Interment to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. William Hammond and a special nurse with Hospice of the Piedmont, Mary Dillon. The family would also like to thank Terry Tomlin, Joyce Baugher, Hollas Collier, Daryl Collier, Dennis Shifflett, and Mike Shifflett for all of their love and support in this difficult time.
Isaiah 41:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
