Meredith Lee Shifflett

Meredith Lee Shifflett, 88, of Ruckersville, VA left us and his earthly home on Saturday, June 4, 2016. He was born on May 24, 1928 in Charlottesville, VA to the late Lewis and Laura Shifflett.
Mr. Shifflett loved fishing and taking care of his home and 1929 Model A car. He was a loving husband, father and dear friend who will be remembered fondly by so many.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Elizabeth Shifflett; daughters, Charlene Schubert and her husband, Jeff, Barbara Kenneally and her husband, John and Cathy Otis and her husband, Bruce; son, Kenneth Shifflett; grandchildren, Olivia Millard and her husband, James, Michael Kenneally and his wife, Jackie, Gregory Kenneally and his wife, Meg, Justin Otis, Donnie Otis and his wife, Becca, and David Otis; his brother, David Shifflett; and many great friends and relatives.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 12 p.m.at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968.
Interment will follow in Prize Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to Swift Run Baptist Church, PO Box 426 Stanardsville, VA 22973 and/or The Harbor 355 William Mills Dr Stanardsville, VA 22973.
