Megan Lynn Shifflett

Megan Lynn Shifflett, 35, of Ruckersville, Virginia, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024. She was born on September 27, 1988, to James Edward Shifflett and Vernell Hensley.

Megan was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Robert and Ruby Shifflett, and her maternal grandfather, Jimmy Hensley. She is survived by her parents, her brother Sheldon Shifflett, her maternal grandmother Jurine Morris Hensley, her companion Steve Fortney, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Megan graduated from William Monroe High School and dedicated almost 13 years of her life to the finance industry in Central Virginia. Known for her genuine and giving soul, Megan always prioritized the needs of others above her own. She found joy in her work and in helping those around her.

A celebration of Megan’s life will take place on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Batten Funeral Home, commencing at 5:00 p.m., with Pedro Thompson officiating.
