Maxene Lawson Patterson, 90, of Earlysville, VA passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014. She was born on May 4, 1924 to the late Joseph Angus and Minnie Blanche Knight Lawson and grew up in the Geer area of Greene County.

She is survived by her children, Robert Glenn Deane, Sr., Rita Davis Moore and Deborah Davis Hunt and her husband, Al, and her stepson, Joe Patterson and his wife, Addie.

Additional survivors include her grandchildren, Robert Deane, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn, Kevin Moore, Mark Moore, Foster Hunt and his wife, Sarah and Daniel Hunt, great grandchild, Christopher Deane, great-great grandchild, Riley Deane and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dudley W. Patterson, and siblings, Nora, Myrtle, Stella, Olive, Nettie, Lorene, Lucille, Ellis and Elmer.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968. They will also receive friends on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Ivy Creek United Methodist Church, 674 Woodlands Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22901.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 12 p.m. at Ivy Creek United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Thornton officiating.

Interment will be private.

Donations may be made to Sarah’s Circle Ivy Creek UMC.
