Margaret Martin, 77 of Crimora, VA died on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Augusta Health. She was born on February 24, 1935 in Swift Run Gap, VA to the late Elvin and Georgia Shifflett Collier.

Mrs. Martin retired from ConAgra as a production leader after 36 years of service. She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother and her loving and caring nature will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her children, Garry Smith and his wife, Brenda of Waynesboro, Debra Norwood and her husband, Jim of Waynesboro, Karen Hensley and her husband, Donnie of Ruckersville, Anthony Martin of Raleigh, NC and Christopher Smith and his wife, Jennifer of Ruckersville.

Additional survivors include her siblings, Goldie Fitz, Aubrey Collier and Elvin “Pete” Collier, four grandchildren, Jonathan Williams, Michelle Addler, Bryan Smith and Mike Norwood and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur W. Martin and her grandson, Jason Edward Norwood.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to Rescue 5 Staunton-Augusta Rescue Squad PO Box 2566 Staunton, VA 24402 and / or Waynesboro Rescue Squad 201 West Broad Street Waynesboro, VA.
