Lloyd Thomas Taylor, Sr.

Lloyd Thomas Taylor Sr., 60, of Madison, VA, gained his wings to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 14, 2024. 

Tommy was born June 25, 1964, in Charlottesville, VA, the son of the late Owen Shirley Taylor and Frances Marie Taylor. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dawn R. Taylor; brothers Bruce A. Taylor, Owen D. Taylor, and Lewis E. Taylor; sister Shirley M. Taylor; and aunt, Ruth Shifflett. 

Tommy is survived by three sons, Anthony J. Long and wife Jennie L. Long, Bradley Taylor and fiancé Cassandra Jenkins, Lloyd Thomas Taylor Jr.; granddaughter, Alyssa N. Long, all of Greene County; sister, Brenda S. Maupin and her husband, Charles of Ruckersville; aunts, Sue Reynolds and her husband John, and Linda Freeman and her companion, David Brown, all of Rochelle. 

Tommy was a Welder/Fabricator for over 40 years. He worked for Piedmont Metal Fabricators, Taylors Welding, and as a self-employed fabricator. He enjoyed cooking food for everyone, listening to music, and having a good time with his family and friends. 

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Rapidan Hunt Club, 826 Shelby Road, Madison, Virginia 22727. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Batten Funeral Home of Ruckersville, Virginia.
