Lilly Frances Lam, 83, of Stanardsville joined her mother and father in Heaven on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Evergreene Nursing Center. She was born on May 13, 1927 in Greene Co. to the late Charlie and Monie Morris Lam.
Ms. Lam was a member of Lydia Pentecostal Church. She loved gardening, animals, especially her cats and chatting each day with her close friends, Mabel Deane, Pauline M. Conley and Dot Shifflett before her passing. The family would like to thank Evergreene Nursing Center and Dr. Mary Preston for their love and dedication they showed to Ms. Lam.
She is survived by her caretakers and family, Larry and Joanna McInturff, Kim McInturff and numerous cousins, family and friends that she loved and cherished.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 31, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lydia Pentecostal Church with Pastor Eddie Deane officiating.
Interment will be in the Lydia Pentecostal Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ben McInturff, Steve Lam, Gary Lam, Phillip Deane, Frankie Chapman, Dewey Morris, Steve Branham and Ken Samuels.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to Lydia Pentecostal Church, Goose Pond Rd, Stanardsville, VA 22973.
Ryan Funeral Home of Ruckersville is handling the arrangements.
