Larry Lee Taylor, 58, of Louisa, VA was taken from our world on Friday, November 11, 2011. He was born on November 13, 1952 in Charlottesville, VA to John Taylor of Ruckersville, VA and the late Mary Slaughter Taylor.
Larry was an outdoorsman who loved life and was loved by so many. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and bowling. Most of all, he cherished his family as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Stella Taylor, three children, Tammy Taylor of Stanardsville, Richard Taylor and his wife, Katie of Palmyra and Amy Taylor and her wife, Sorrel of Ruckersville and two granddaughters, Amber Gallihugh and Kayla Taylor.
Additional survivors include his siblings, Deborah Wescoat of Orange, Mark Taylor also of Orange, John Taylor of Elkton, Janet Taylor of Wolftown and Donna Taylor of Ruckersville; his best friend, Dennis “Bo” Taylor of Stanardsville and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by his brother, Donald Taylor.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 18, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
