Kenas Lee Shifflett

Kenas Lee Shifflett, 86, of Earlysville, VA passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on October 6, 1929 in Albemarle Co. to the late Eugene and Cora Shifflett.
Mr. Shifflett graduated from Santa Maria High School in CA. He received an associate’s degree as an Electrical Engineer and served our country in the United States Army. He later retired from Figgie International.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Shifflett; two sons, Kenas Shifflett, Jr. and his wife, Tammy and Greg Shifflett; his sister Hattie Chaplin; his brother Jack Shifflett; grandchildren, Matthew, Katie, Garrett, and Taylor Shifflett; special friends, Joe and Brenda Lawson; special caregivers, Vonda, Dolly and Tracy; and numerous family and extended friends.
In addition to his parent he was preceded in death by his son, Gary Wayne Shifflett and two brothers, Albert and William Shifflett.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Ryan Funeral Home with Pastor Van Crawford and Pastor Johnny Hartless officiating.
Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
