Keith LaRue Wynn, Sr.
Keith LaRue Wynn, Sr., 83 of Stanardsville, VA died on Monday, March 18, 2013 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born on June 22, 1929 in Fishers Ferry, PA to the late George and Ellen Klinger Wynn.
Mr. Wynn served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam and the Korean Conflict. He was a 20 year retired E6 Jet Engine Mechanic. He loved his country and was a proud member of the American Legion Post 128 and VFW Post 8208.
He is survived by his children, Donna Marie Burkett and her husband, Gary, Karen Lee Conner and her husband, Sam and Deborah Ann Gordon and her husband, Andy.
Additional survivors include his brother, Carl Wynn, six grandchildren, Rachel, Tammy, Thomas, Jacob, Veronica and Joey and two great grandchildren, Quentin and Mason.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Wynn, his son, Keith “Pat” Wynn, Jr. and siblings, George, Geraldine and Clifford Wynn.
The family would like to thank the Stanardsville Fire Department, Greene County Rescue, Martha Jefferson Emergency Forest Lakes and all of the staff at the University of Virginia Medical Center for their care and compassion.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in Ruckersville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Legion Post 128, PO Box 424 Ruckersville, VA 22968.
