Kay Lynn Freid

Kay Lynn Freid, 73, of Ruckersville, VA passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Grace Health and Rehabilitation of Greene. She was born on December 11, 1944 in Nebraska to Florence “Verlene” Gipe of Nebraska and the late Robert Gipe.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her children, Cathy L. Reis and her husband, Jason and Kevin E. Freid and his wife, Rachel; grandchildren, Kelli M. Freid, Matthew E. Freid and Blair K. Freid; great grandchildren, Kaiden Byron and Colby Freid; and sister, Judy Berry.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin E. “Cal” Freid; brother, Larry L. Gipe and sister, Mary L. Hulse.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 6 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968 with Pastor Chuck Winner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Freid will be interred in Parkview Cemetery in Hastings, Nebraska on Saturday, February 24, 2018 with Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home handling arrangements.
