September 28, 2023, marked the beginning of eternal rest and joy for Karen Martha LeFever. She spoke of looking forward to heaven with her Lord, Jesus Christ. Born to Raymond H. and Lois M. Hull in Richmond, Virginia, on March 29, 1948, she was the third of 4 siblings: Bobby (deceased), Bill (deceased), and Helen Donohoe. She leaves behind a son, Joel (Joyce) LeFevre, and three LeFevre grandchildren: Billy, Danny, and Elizabeth Irene of Pittsburgh, PA. Her daughter, Grace, who survives her as well, lives in Stanardsville, Virginia.
After living in northern Virginia for much of her life, she became a Greene County resident in 2005. For many years, she was a caregiver to the young as well as more “seasoned citizens.” Karen had a talent for sewing, which she evidenced by crafting wedding dresses and doing alterations. As an employee for an area shop, she sewed many patches on the uniforms of the local first responder forces. She was proud to name as a friend each person she met in her role as a seamstress.
A memorial service time and place will be determined in the future.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
