Judith Marie Bowman
Judith Marie Bowman, 65, of Stanardsville, VA died on August 8, 2012 at The Harbor of the Renaissance of Greene. She was born on December 18, 1946 in Dixon, IL to the late Donald Marcus Asp and Mary Logwood Asp.
Ms. Bowman was a member of the Stanardsville United Methodist Church. She volunteered much of her time to her church and to the Greene County Food Bank. She enjoyed her job for many years working as a reporter and editor for the Greene County Record but most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Michelle Nave and her husband, Jeff of Stanardsville and David Bowman and his wife, Valencia of Orange, her sister, Marcia Ober of Vernon Hills, IL and six grandchildren, Jason Nave, Sarah Nave, Marc Bowman, Patrick Bowman, PJ Bowman, and Danni Bowman.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, William Asp.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 29, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Stanardsville United Methodist Church with Pastor Norma Dean officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011 and / or the Greene County Food Bank, mail your check made payable to the Woman’s Club of Greene County to
P.O. Box 352, Stanardsville, VA 22973. Please put “Food Bank” in the memo line and include your name and address so the Woman’s Club can thank you for helping to feed the hungry in our community.
