Joyce Ann Shoopman, 60, of Stanardsville, VA died on Sunday, August 21, 2011 in Barboursville. She was born on July 30, 1951 in Charlottesville, VA to Raymond Hunt of Scottsville and the late Pearl Cason Hunt.
She is survived by her four children, Laurie Shifflett, Randy Shaver, Donna Carpenter and her husband, Michael and Pearl Houchens and four siblings, Michael, Ronnie, Edward and Connie Hunt.
Additional survivors include her seven grandchildren, Christopher Shifflett, George Shifflett, Jenny Lock, Ray Ray Lock, Boo Boo Lock, Travis Carpenter and David Carpenter, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Galladay officiating.
Interment will follow in Ruckersville Community Cemetery.
