Joyce Diane Bodrey

Joyce Diane King Bodrey, 74, of Charlottesville, VA passed away April 12, 2019.

She was born October 13, 1944 in Washington, D.C., daughter of the late Linwood King and Lillian Kendall King.

Joyce is survived by her children, Joshua Andrew Bodrey (Julie) and Carolyn Jean Bodrey-Ness (Stewart); sister, Ann Gilbert; seven grandchildren, Sarah Wilson, Amber Sherwood, Lisbeth Sheetz, Orlando Ness, Christopher Shinaberry, Dawn Ness, and Tabitha Ness; three great-grandchildren, Gavin, Courtney and Aiden; and many other family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil R. Bodrey; daughter, Wanda Kay Shinaberry; grandchildren, Tabatha Beam and Rebecca Nicole Shinaberry; and sister, Linda Gilbert.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Church of Latter Day Saints, 1275 Timberwood Blvd. Charlottesville, VA 22911.

Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
