John Stephen Wood
John Stephen Wood, 55, of Stanardsville, VA died on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Hospice House (Hospice of the Piedmont) in Charlottesville. He was born on January 19, 1957 in Miami, FL to the late Donald Edward Wood and June Oswald Wood.
Mr. Wood was an HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) worker by profession, and provided over twelve years of service as HVAC supervisor at Coffeewood Correctional Center in Mitchells, Virginia prior to his being diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in February 2012.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Wood, Jr., of Miami, FL.
He is survived by his sisters, Betty Shaw of Rutherfordton, NC and Carol Neidich of Homestead, FL.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery.
