Joann Marie Conley

Joann Marie Conley, 32, of Stanardsville, VA died on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. She was born on June 6, 1981 in Charlottesville to Dale and Malicia Conley of Stanardsville.

She worked for the past 14 years at the University of Virginia in the Human Resources Department as a training coordinator. She was a very loving mother, daughter, fiancé and friend who will be missed deeply.

In addition to her parents she is survived by her children, Kevin Lee Buchanan, Jr. and Callie Elizabeth Buchanan of Stanardsville, her fiancé, Kevin Lee Buchanan, Sr., paternal grandparents, Edward and Pauline Conley and Doris Conley and Roger Shifflett, aunts and uncles, David McCauley, Roy and Bonnie Collier, Carlton and Pam Conley, Stacey Conley and friend, Jazz King and Janice Conley, her children’s grandparents, Jeanette Buchanan and Danny and Wanda Buchanan, sister-in-law, Crystal Buchanan and her very best friends, Tara Weil and Marcia Frampton.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Dale Edward Conley, maternal grandmother, Virginia McCauley, and special friends, Jake and Jackie Kerr.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Dean officiating.

Interment will follow in Hightop Cemetery.
