Joan Deane Watson, 83, of Ruckersville, VA passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Grace Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on July 2, 1934 in Stanardsville, VA to the late Asbury and Ida Deane.
Mrs. Watson enjoyed playing golf, listening to music and shopping. Above all, she loved her sons, grandchildren family and friends and will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her sons, Douglas Watson and his wife, Kathy, David Watson and his wife, Loretta and Michael Watson; grandchildren, Victoria Watson, Dustin Watson, Matthew Watson, Nicole Brown, Christopher Watson and Katelynn Watson; great grandchildren, Brianna, Landon, Matthew and Keith, Jr. Brown; brother, Harold Deane and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Marlon Watson and sister Dorothy Lawson.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date with interment in Stanardsville Cemetery.
