James Eddie Herndon
James Eddie Herndon, 83, of Stanardsville, VA died on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at his residence. He was born on August 30, 1930 in Greene County to the late James and Carrie Carpenter Herndon.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Herndon, his children, Rafis Herndon and Aretha Herndon, step children, Jermaine, Daniel and Christopher Herndon, his brother, Albert Herndon and his wife, Bernice and 14 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his stepson, William Herndon and his sister, Addie Roy and her husband, James Roy.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968 with Rev. Harrison Williams officiating.
Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
