Goldie Diane Knight

Goldie Taylor Knight, 84, of Stanardsville, Virginia went to join our Lord Wednesday, March 2, 2022. She was born January 31, 1938, the daughter of the late James and Hilda Taylor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Breeden.

Goldie is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Marvin Lee Knight; daughters, Debra Johnson (Warren), Teresa Davis, Robin Lindsey, Sandy Yates (Dwayne); son, Marvin Lee Knight, Jr.; brother, Leon Taylor; sister, Frances McDaniel (Rex); 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.

Goldie never met a stranger. She was a second mother to many.  She loved bluegrass music and spending time with her family.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday, March 6, 2022, at First Bible Baptist Church, 335 Snow Drive Ruckersville, VA 22968.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Monday, March 7, 2022, at First Bible Baptist Church with Pastors Phillip Powell and Wendell Lamb officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  Following the interment, there will be a time of fellowship at church.

The pallbearers for the service will be Albert Deane, Troy Knight, Dwayne Yates, Logan Yates, Christian Knight, and Warren Cason.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Wanda and Sarah from Medi Hospice and Carolyn Ogle and her daughter for all of their loving care with our dear mother.
