George Stephen Kelly, Jr.

George Stephen Kelly, Jr., 54, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Stanardsville on January 11, 2025. He was born on May 10, 1970, to George Stephen Kelly, Sr., and the late Lucille Smith Kelly. 

In addition to his father (Joann), he leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Amy Sue Glover Kelly, son’s, Benjamin Thomas Kelly and Barek Lee Kelly; siblings, Kyle Kelly and Erin McDaniel; brother and sister-in-law, Wesley and Kellye Glover and their children, McKaylee and Dawson; a special group of close friends, “The Gaming Group”; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other close friends. 

George was an avid computer user who loved gaming with friends and family, stuffed animals, wolves, and his cat, ferrets, and chinchillas. His favorite game was Ever Quest. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, beginning at 11:00 at the Free Union Church of the Brethren.
