Freddie Mae Morris, 81, of Dyke, VA died on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. She was born on May 20, 1929 to the late Leonard and Louise Morris.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by Earman Lee Morris, one daughter, Brenda Mae Morris, her grandson, Jeremy Haney, two brothers, Calvin and Joseph Morris and five sisters, Mary Ellen, Lilly Frances, Doris Morris, Flossie Watson, and Juanita Shifflett.
She is survived by two daughters, Helen Haney of Dyke, Jurine Hensley and her husband, Jimmy of Ruckersville, three sons, Clarence Morris and his wife, Leca, Donald Morris and his wife, Doreen and Norman Morris and his special friend, Debbie Frazier all of Dyke, four sisters, Naomi Crawford and her husband, Randolph, Rozenia Shifflett, Geneva Morris all of Dyke and Arbutus Stephens and her husband, Horace of Crozet, seven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the Charlottesville Rehab and their staff for their love and dedication they gave to Mrs. Morris.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January, 23, 2011 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail, Ruckersville, VA 22968.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 24, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Church of the Brethren with Rev. CC Kurtz officiating.
Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Scottie Morris, James Shifflett, Jimmy Hensley, Sheldon Shifflett, Keithan Morris, Mike Farrish and Ed Shifflett.
