Frances Marie “Bootie” Buttner, 77, died peacefully surrounded by her family on November 6, 2015 in Ruckersville, Virginia after an extended illness.
Frances was born October 1, 1938, daughter of the late Earnest Earl Morris and Mattie Margaret Morris.
She was a lifelong member of Southside Church of God and retired from Comdial after 42 years of service.
Frances is survived by her husband of 52 years, Terry Wayne Buttner; her son, Troy Wayne Buttner and his wife, Pam; granddaughters, Sara Beth Buttner and her fiancé, Ray Caddell, III and Samantha Brooke Buttner; brother, Olen Weaver Morris and his wife, Ruth; sister, Elna M. Collier; sister-in-law, Odessa Morris; faithful friend, Peggy Wilson.
Frances’ greatest love was her family and her life was spent caring for all. Frances leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who were a large part of her life and who were faithfully by her side during her illness.
Frances was preceded in death by her brothers, Aubrey Morris, Sr., Preston Johnson “P.J.” Morris, Bobby Leake Morris; brother-in-law, Tommie Collier; niece, Bonnie Kay Collier; and nephew, Tommie Lee Collier.
The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her illness.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 9, 2015 at Evergreen Cemetery.
