Floyd Ray Ridgeway, 65, of Dyke, VA passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at his residence. He was born on February 10, 1951 to the late John and Elsie Ridgeway.
Floyd was an outdoors man who loved hunting, fishing and traveling. He worked hard his entire life, even until the end when his illness took over. He will always be remembered as a giving, outspoken, down to earth man, but above all he will truly be missed as a loving father who also cherished his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Matt Ridgeway, Sarah Paugh and her husband, Vernon and Melissa Ridgeway; siblings, Darlene Shifflett, Junior Ridgeway, Jimmy Ridgeway, Mary Ridgeway, Barbara Bautista, Wayne Ridgeway, George Ridgeway, and Danny Ridgeway; six grandchildren, Hunter, Taylor, Dax, Raif, Trevor and Desiree who was his special caregiver; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Poole.
A private service will be held at a later date.
